Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson" acoustic line

This seems to be something Gibson/Epiphone came out with last year and was curious if any of you have seen or played any of these.
In the past, Epiphone has made "copies" of these iconic guitars but this time they seemed to have taken a step up and actually made a solid wood alternative and they seem to run between $700-$900 new which is a good value for a solid wood guitar in my opinion.
The Hummingbird comes in the cherry burst and natural, the J200 comes in vintage sunburst and natural, and the J45 just comes in the vintage sunburst look.
They also seem to have changed the Epiphone headstock design a bit which is an improvement in my opinion.
I really like the natural Hummingbird look and am trying to keep myself from ordering one. Fingers crossed.

I have never played an epiphone that didn’t sound disappointing

Most Epiphone acoustics are cheap laminates which is some of the reason.
Their Masterbilt line is very good which I believe these basically are.

I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus made in 2004 that I prefer to play over some actual gibsons.
I change stock pickups in any les paul anyways, I dont know..every once in a while I run across something like that.

The Epiphone acoustics I remember back in the 70’s/80’s always seemed to lack string clarity and they didn’t have much ring to the strings, kinda flat. If you had new strings they sounded ok for a little while.

What's the difference between these and the Masterbuilts? I have one of those and love it.

The only ones - and I mean THE ONLY ONES - are their versions of the LP junior and the Dots (and the Dots generally aren't inexpensive) - don't know how/why they got those right, but beyond that, I got nothing.

I noticed they have started making the headstocks a little closer to the Gibson shape. The "open book" shape at the top is less angled and they've stopped chamfering the top corners. Very similar on the truss rod cover shape too, although neither are exact, per Gibson's tightly monitored trademarks.
I used to think the Gibson knockoff stuff was decent but the ones I've tried out recently seem like the build quality is slipping. I guess Gibson is okay with that trademark breach.

I believe these are basically Masterbilts.

Do you have the Epiphone Hummingbird that was cheap laminate construction or this model?
I believe this series was intended to bridge the gap between the two.
