Homecoming Festival In Cincinnati. All sets were killer. FJM is extremely talented and he knows it. Julien Baker was mesmerizing. Kim Deal is still having fun. Lord Huron was incredible. The National blew the doors off. Matt Beringer was drunk and forgot words but was still the coolest guy in the park.

Tomorrow is Big Thief, Future Islands, Feist, Alvvays and The National play Boxer for the 10 year anniversary.

Nice! I was just watching a National tiny desk for about the 29th time and like even more than the first. I've gone from kind of liking them to thinking they are up there with the greats. Seeing the entire Boxer album will be nirvana.

Sounds awesome. Big Thief and Alvvays made two of my favorite records last year. And Boxer is one of my favorites of all time. I’m sure Future Islands will be fun too.

Here's a rundown/review/thinkpiece on the festival. It was well worth travelling north to see.
