I've seen the Dixie Dregs twice, and The Steve Morse Band twice, and Morse with Deep Purple.
Each time was incredible.

I saw Morse one time and he played a few Dregs tunes but have never seen the Dregs. If they only played Night Meets Light and then walked off the stage, I'd still feel like I got my money's worth. That's a "goosebump" song for me for sure.

Unsung Heroes is hands down my favorite album of theirs. That whole album starting with the first lick of Cruise Control is badass. Day 444 was always right there at the top of my list.

I'm stoked. The show is sold out but I just got 1st row seats on StubHub.

Our 1st row seats were right in front of Steve Morse. He handed me a pick after the 2nd set. He could have sat it on my head if he'd wanted to. That's how close we were.
The show was ridiculous. Aside from Morse, Andy West was a monster on the bass and Rod Morgenstein on drums was incredible. I hate to single anybody out because the entire band was unbelievably good.
They didn't play Night Meets Light but they did play Day 444, which was a little bit of a surprise. Most of the ones you'd expect were played, Take It Off the Top, Refried Funky Chicken, The Bash, Wages of Weirdness. But they also did Odyssey at the end of the 1st set which was a nice surprise. The shocker to me was that they started the encore with Night of the Living Dregs. I don't think they've played that one live since the 70's...maybe ever.
Anyway, great, great show and I'm glad I can finally scratch that one off my list.
