Been a Spoon fan since the days of Napster. They used to have an indie band of the week link, and one day it was Spoon from Austin. This was ~2000, and have been a fan ever since.

Spoon is one of the most consistent bands on earth. Never transcendent, but always solid. Divine Fits is pretty much another Spoon album. Won't be your favorite, but you'll enjoy the listen.

from 1998 - 2002, they were right up there... one of my favorite bands..

I'm going to back-listen to every Spoon album. I think they might be my favorite band that isn't my favorite band (yet).
BTW, the song "like ice cream" is fantabulous.

I like Wolf Parade more than Spoon (although that has more to do with Krug than Boeckner). Not that Spoon isn't really good or anything.
Still need to check this album out though. I have only given it one listen.
