Did Seether blatantly rip off Tool's "Stinkfist" riff?

Here's the two to compare.

Most radio rock bands since 2000 have been ripping off tool in someway. Not gonna click on that link, don't wanna listen to seether. 10 years was the most blatant shitty rip-off I can remember.

Yea that's pretty bad. It's ripped down to the same time signature. May be as close to new Tool as we'll ever get.

Stinkfist is my favorite Tool song but it's not like that riff is Master of Puppets, it's about as generic a rock riff as you can find. Unfortunately Seether doesn't have the magic that Tool had in being able to turn a 3 note riff into a monster of a song

I'll allow it. Sounds more like Chevelle than Tool imo
