Did Johnny really win the battle? Does the Band of Demons not count?

And who was Johnny's backing band? He was playing fiddle out in the woods. I can accept that Johnny won the pure fiddle battle but what's the point of backing bands if they aren't part of the equation? The Band of Demons rocked that shite.

Since the original Johnny was Vassar Clements (not pictured) . . .

. . . it was certainly one hell of a backing band (Old and In The Way, band)

or two (Aereo-plain Band)

or three (with) Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

it was a fiddle player contest. Devil cheated (because he is the devil) by bringing in the band of demons. Johnny smoked the devil in the fiddle playing.

Devil conceded.

Maybe. But what I meant by accept is that I won't argue the point if someone disagrees. I'm not sure, personally.
