Delaney and Bonnie were great, soul and more soul.

I’ve got them live on vinyl. D & B was a GREAT band. So soulful and rootsy, pure badass Americana.

And the fact that Jim Gordon, Carl Radle and the amazing Bobby Whitlock joined Clapton to make the Layla album is icing on the cake. Derek and the Dominos was more than just Eric, that band had serious talent. Bobby Whitlock contributed to that album as much as Eric & Duane. His vocals were outstanding

So much talent in D&B its astounding. Derek and the Dominoes + Derek Mason and Harrison as a guest...almost sounds like fanfiction.

I'm a huge Bobby Whitlock fan, love to see him getting his due.

Should probably include Rita Coolidge, since she wrote the piano part in Layla that he claimed as his own. Or maybe it was her sister. He definitely lifted it from one of them.
