That was a weird performance. Not bad, but the energy was just off. The crowd didn't seem to find the groove. Do they play a whole show and only show one song on Kimmel?

I've been listening to the album nonstop since it came out last week. Incredible record and it's amazing how this band can just consistently keep putting out top notch albums all while experimenting with their sound. I'm not sure where I'd rank it compared to the rest of their discography just yet. There's not really a track that I dislike at all but my favorites are Doomed User, Hearts/Wires, (L)MIRL, Phantom Bride, and Rubicon. This record on vinyl is fire.

While I like certain elements about the album, I just can't get passed the mix. On Doomed User, the drums are so far down in the mix you almost can't hear them at times.

I couldn't agree more, the mix blows. Even the vocals are low at times. I love the album, but the mixing leaves a lot to be desired.

I mean, it's Deftones so at the very least it's good. There are moments of greatness, but I've been waiting for years for them to produce something that rivals Adrenaline and I don't think that'll ever come.
However, before people attack me for saying it's just good (and not great)...please understand that I think it's very good.
