Death Cab for Cutie new album "Thank You for Today"

Anyone else listened to it? I've been listening to them since high school and they still put out good stuff. Early favorites on this one are "I Dreamt We Spoke Again" (funky) and "Your Hurricane"

Their last couple albums have relatively quiet releases but have still been good.

One of my favorite bands, but after five listens, I think the new album is subpar by their standards. The songs are generally uninteresting and super safe. Which leads to my next point...
+1 for Narrow Stairs as a tremendous album. They took some chances with that one, and it paid off. They also do simplicity very well (Trans), but the new release fell very flat for me.
I will give it a few more "spins" (extinct term?), and I hope my mind changes.
