Saw them tonight in Santa Fe. I was a huge fan of North Hills and never really got too into their later releases. That being said, we couldn't pass on going to see them while we were here on vacation. I remember that this board had said they were good live.
Holy shite. They're impressive. The most impressive part was that their North Hills material was probably some of the weakest even though it was what was most familiar to me. Taylor is good,'but his brother (the drummer) stole the show, imo.

I've seen them 3 times now. I'm so happy to see this thread. THey are my favorite band ever by far. So good live. And they are just getting better and better

Yep, think i'm gonna have to go. I have to see this show again this tour. All their shows this tour are 2-set shows that last a really long time, with no opening act.

This is one of those bands that I can never figure out how I feel about them. Musically, I think they are amazing but at times I cant get into their lyrics or the guys voice. I do think they are a great band and would not hesitate to go see them.

I kind of feel similarly. For some reason I just find them irritating and often skip their songs when they come on. But I can't figure out what I don't like about them.

these are tthe two things I love about them most. I love their music, but Taylor's lyrics to me are the best around. To each his own

This is pretty much how I feel, but they have some songs I really like. Overall a good band.

I was just really surprised because I expected the whole Laurel Canyon vibe to pervade the show. Instead, they've transcended that folksy genre and become a full on rock band. Some of our jam band fan friends were with us, and they were pretty impressed as well.
