Masterpiece album. He had others, probably five (at least three, superior to this).

Why don't you like Bowie (apart from being a poofter or being married to Iman)?

Bowie was and still is great, imo. I think his voice actually is under-appreciated.

Bowie's good stuff. I think he's an under the radar type - for me anyway. Anytime I've heard a Bowie song, I don't think I've ever said 'that sucks'. I'd love to have seen him in concert back in the day.

Love Bowie... Hunky Dory is my personal favorite...

I'm closer to the Golden Dawn
Immersed in Crowley's uniform of imagery
I'm living in a silent film
Portraying Himmler's sacred realm
Of dream reality

Thanks for sharing. I wished I could have seen SRV play in his Serious Moonlight tour. Seeing SRV touching upon his classics, without brakes (I'm pretty sure Bowie reined him in, even live), would have been 'most excellent'.

I believe there's a video of a live Cracked Actor, where SRV plays.

I must believe that Bowie considers himself too cool to be knighted, or disdains the UK monarchy.

The fact that McCartney and Elton John are knighted, really makes one wonder what has happened with David Bowie in this respect.

Thanks. Yeah, I saw that. I have heard there is a video of SRV when playing on a Serious Moonlight tour.

Anyway, another question. Is SRV the soloist on DJ? It sounds like him trying to do a heavy metal solo, but not completely.

He had a heart attack in the early 2000's. Since then he has kept a very low profile and I really don't think he cares about being knighted.

If any musician deserves its the The Thin White Duke.

shite Beezy, Aladdin Sane. I was always wondering what your avi was about. It always produced a familiar feeling when viewing it.

We're getting Bowie respect in here, but I've always noted that many on this board hate Bowie, and I wanted to know why. Only one replied, and didn't explain their reasoning.

Really? I haven't seen it, unless he was just too mainstream for some people.
