Country music singer Mindy McCready dead of apparent suicide

McCready, who hit the top of the country charts in 1996, died at her home in Heber Springs at the age of 37.
The Cleburne County Sheriff's Office said her death was caused by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
McCready was a popular singing star before her career was side-tracked by personal problems in recent years.

That's really sad. I'm not a big country music fan... but she had talent. Her poor kids - both parents committed suicide? Damn.

McCready leaves behind two boys, one of whom is 10 months old. The infant's father, record producer David Wilson, died of an apparent suicide last month.

Sad shite. I remember her in the 90's. She was an OT 9 for sure. Think the guy she got involved with or ex husband beat the shite out of her. It then went downhill from there.

Terrible situation for the kids. I went to college with her husband. This whole story is crazy, not sure if I believe that he committed suicide
