I saw Control last night which is a movie about Ian Curtis based on his widow's book. Can't say I'm a huge fan of Joy Division, but "Love Will Tear Us Apart" is a huge favorite song of mine. Anyway, liking that song and liking New Order, I decided to watch. It's not fantastic, but I never wanted to stop watching. Recommend for fans of the band. The dude had issues.

Someone at Sundance has a sense of humor. The movie was followed by a movie called Joy Division that had nothing to do with the band, other than possibly where the name came from.

Sorry if this should be on the MTV board.

A frustrating watch, but I liked it. Having not been around to experience Joy Division before Ian Curtis' death, the movie made their music make quite a bit more sense to me.

I love the movie but I'm also a big Joy Division fan. The casting was perfect.
