So I shelled out $40 for two tickets to see Cheap Trick and Poison last night. I’m not a huge fan of either but thought I’d probably enjoy Cheap Trick and I did. They put on the show that I expected. Poison on the other hand, Holy Crap! They put on one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen. I’ve not been a huge concert goer over the years. It’s been just in the last few years that my wife (no pics) and I have started going to a few concerts each year. Bret Michaels seemed to truly appreciate the opportunity to be on a stage and entertain a crowd of people. They brought it the entire night. High energy, good vocals, and really good musicianship. I highly recommend.

My cousin has been to a shite load of concerts over the years and he always said that Poison was one of the best shows he had ever seen.

I used to laugh my arse of at that, but hey I guess they are pretty good.

And again, you have to realize I went into it not being a huge fan. I probably wouldn’t have gone if the tickets weren’t so cheap.

I saw poison twice when they were st their height of success. Both were great shows.

I agree about Poison. Saw them open for KISS once, they put on a much better show than I had expected.

It is mainly because they play nothing but the hits, which is all you could want from Bret and the gang

I've seen Bret solo a couple of times (which wasn't bad), but Poison at the HOB NOLA...2003-ish, was pretty damn legit!

The majority of sheep just follow popular opinion with giving different things a chance. Glad you checked it out and shared your enjoyment of the show.
