Have been playing extra-light for always.Bought a pack of light and a pack of medium.Put on the medium.Love the sound but I can't believe how much thicker they feel.A little hard on the finger tips.

Watch the neck for bowing. You might need a truss rod adjustment going from 10's to 13's.

Oh crap.I didn't think about that.I think I'm gonna put the pack of lights on and give my finger tips a break. Thanks for the warning.I didn't think about the extra stress.

I went from extra light dArdarios to light Martin Coates. The sound on the martins are much boomier......I liked that ok......my fingers adjusted pretty quick to the slightly heavies strings but going to mediums would probably fry them. I have recently gone from using a .6mm bass pick to a .45 bass pick. I'm really liking the lighter pick. I'm able to strum a lot faster and my mistakes don't seem to be as apparent.
