Cash Money had better quality, but I always admired No Limit having so much quantity of music.
I still think No Limit's run from 1995? to 2000 was incredible.

On the whole Cash Money put out more quality music than No Limit. Not that No Limit didn't put out some good stuff but I think Cash Money was more prolific.

Three albums put them above the heap: 400 Degreez, Guerilla Warfare, and Chopper City in the Ghetto.
No Limit had some good stuff too don't get me wrong. Soulja Slim's "Give It To Em Raw" and Master P's "Ice cream man" are still some of my faves.
Cash Money beats with Mannie Fresh combined with Juvenile and Lil Wayne in their prime make it an easy decision for me.

I remember on the decline of their war, each put out a CD every week. It watered down the product.

I remember No Limit being the big thing back in High School (94-98), and then Cash Money really blowing up in college (99-2000s).
So from my perception, there wasn't really any fences. As No Limit waned, Cash Money took off.
Though I remember being really excited when Snoop joined No Limit, and then being really disappointed when his first release ended up sucking, hard.
But Gold Tank in the front yard of P's country club house, ftw.
