I’m thinking Kafka might be a cat who has some deep cuts.

Bongo Fury was in regular rotation at one time in my life. Glad you mentioned him. I'm going to stream it this afternoon.

I know Im supposed to like it to show how smart and refined I am but after multiple attempts, I really don’t like it.

He can get out there, kinda like Zappa. But he also has a bunch of just straight blues/R&B stuff.

Hate to burst anybody's bubbles, but I really don't know much about the good Captain.

From what I've heard of Trout Mask, his stuff is generally not my cup of tea (though I will admit his stuff is truly avant garde, unlike say the pop mood music of Pink Floyd, who's fans love to pat themselves on the back for listening to such "progressive" art).

My fave Beefheart tracks
