BMTH just dropped their new single. First listen was pretty good. The sound feels like Ludens but also heavier than Amo. Let’s see how this new ep will be!

That first minute is a little weird initially. I’m used to it now, but I’m not sure how it will impact longevity. If we get an album full of Ludens and Parasite Eve esque songs, I’ll be friggin ecstatic.

When they talked about their 4 eps this year, they said it will be anger and aggression. So I guess we will have to see but the last two singles, I’m pumped

Eh. Have listened a few times and it's a 5.5/10.
At least get me back to 'Sempiternal'. I know everything before that will never return.

I have sempiternal pretty much stuck in my CD player. This song is heavier than half that album.
These guys are just operating on an insane level the last 6 years. I hope they continue to get more and more respect in the rock community. Their presentation and willingness to evolve into 2020 is really entertaining.

Bump
I love this bmth sound with Ludens and Parasite Eve. Heavy, catchy, industrial. It's like amo and Sempiternal had a baby and I love it. I can't get the song out of my head.
The video is gnarly and it was directed by Oli Sykes, and the song was produced by Mick Gordon, who composed the new Doom games.

That’s The Spirit is in my top 5 favorite albums of all time. Amo was pretty good as well. I was a little worried they were going to go full on electro after hearing interviews from Oli and Fish... But sounds like they might push out some hard stuff! I really enjoy Parasite Eve

The new EP they said are going to be a lot like Ludens and parasite eve. I’m stoked.
BMTH is the only hard rock band around right now that I could see coming for that hard rock throne once the old guard (Tool etc.) hang it up.
Oli Sykes is just putting in the work. Jordan brings that mainstream polish, and the other guys know what they do well and stay in their lane.
Hard not to root for these guys. They just get it right now. And they adjust to criticisms even tho they quite obviously get some digs in there (Heavy Metal off Amo).
I like how they play with the audience with that knowledge. Ludens had a fake leadup to a breakdown. Parasite Eve ditto. And then a minute later they give it to you anyways.
Parasite Eve reminds me of an Amo and Semp combo.
Ludens reminds me of an Amo and TTS combo.
I know metacritic isn’t anywhere near an end-all, be-all, but having back to back to back to back 80+ albums while seemingly on their way to a 5th, is still one hell of an accomplishment.
If you watch YouTube reactions of the metal community, you can just see the level of excitement, happiness, and unpredictability that they are bringing to it.
Love these guys. Love the way Oli Sykes attacks every aspect of life so ferociously after getting knocked on his arse by a cheating wife and a ketamine addiction.
I’m telling you. These guys are coming for the throne. The talent is there. The desire to listen is there. The passion is there. Watch out.
ETA: LTT7 - That’s the Spirit is a top two for me. Reanimation from Linkin Park being the only one I’d put in that company. Not only is the album just great, but I felt like I got Start Something (lostprophets) after not being able to listen to them due to Ian Watkins being pure evil.

A buddy of mine in college put me on BMTH during Thats The Spirit era. Since then sempiternal, TTS, and amo have been amazing. Bring me the horizon is in my top 3 bands of all time behind Jimmy Eat World as number 1.

You should check out Pure Reason Revolution's album Eupnea. The combo of the male/female oddly remind me of the songs with JEW where the have female singers like "Work" etc.
Tons of Floyd, small amounts of BMTH guitar, and a decent chunk of Pumpkins type vibes.
Was an instant "Front to back" for me. JEW is way up there on my list, and BMTH sits at number 1. You'd probably like it knowing what's your cup of tea.
