BR peeps -- best vinyl shop?

I have only been to two -- Atomic Pop and Capital City. I have to give a nod to Atomic Pop if you are like me and wanting original copies. I rarely buy newly pressed stuff...just takes the treasure hunt aspect out of it.
Capital City has some good stuff, but aside from the 2 dollar grab bin, 60-70 percent of the records have to be newly pressed/reissued. They had some good, rare stuff...Silver Apples, Gun Club, some early Slayer, some rare imports from The Cure and Depeche Mode, and some solid 1970's stuff...mainly reissues, however. I would say 80 percent of Atomic Pop records are used and also better. Both are better than nothing, but compared to other cities of similar size (Pensacola's Music Box comes to mind), BR really does not offer a great experience.
Is there a hidden gem in a 50 mile radius (not NOLA obviously) that I am missing?

The Greater Baton rouge Flea Market has "Classic Tunes" which sometimes has some really good vinyl.
Lagniappe records in Lafayette.
To my knowledge, the two you mentioned are the only stores in town for vinyl other than F.Y.E.

Leisure Landing on West Chimes Street was the best record store ever.

Lagniappe in Lafayette is great. Great selection.
If you want a hole in the wall place, No Name Records in Rayne. They carry a MASSIVE selection. They don't carry brand new vinyls, like you won't find a brand new Father John Misty record in there for example. But you'll find original, used pressings of bands like the Beatles. Their selection is seriously massive. I was in there for over an hour and couldn't come close to digging through everything.

There was a Lagniappe Records in Baton Rouge a few years back. Did it shut down?

The Exchange on Government has vinyl. Not the best but worth a look.
Lagniappe was Tess Brunet's place, right? Didn't know that one moved. I liked it but the location was terrible.

Yep, they have a great location in downtown Lafayette where there's far less competition in the vinyl market.

I say this in every one of these threads...Atomic Pop Shop has a good selection of new stuff, but their mark-up is ridiculous. The only time I ever buy stuff from there is on Record Store Day.

I'll second that. Spent many an hour in there in the 70's before moving on to the Compact Disc Store on Jefferson. Because, you know, CD's were better than vinyl.

How can that be? I go and get their used vinyls for anywhere from $5 to $10 or so. The rare stuff is more, of course, but I can always find something I am interested in for less than $10. I can't see that being that big of a mark-up. I don't buy any new stuff from there so maybe that is highly marked up? Otherwise I would like to know where you are buying vinyls from for less than $5
