Must stand for fixed it for yourself in this case because it definitely isn't something I listen to regularly. Maybe they've learned their instruments better but I wasn't impressed the few times I saw them. I give everyone a chance live too

yes I should've been more clear on what I meant. Thats fair man, if you didn't like em then you didn't like em, but like I said, it was my first time seeing them live and I wasn't expecting much because I didn't think that style of music would translate well to a live setting but I was very impressed at how well it sounded.
Yea just not my cup if tea I guess. I think they sound much better on their studio work. Decent song writers. My whole point to bobby Rae was alot of these "good song writers" don't translate well in a live setting. I'm a sucker for a nasty guitar player. It's all so subjective tho

2006 was fun but the transformation had already started. 2002-2004 was the heyday

Disagree. 2006 was full of JAMZ:
Oysterhead
Phil Lesh and Friends
Trey Anastasio,Mike Gordon,Marco Benevento, and Joe Russo (GRAB) Super Jam
moe
Disco Biscuits
Buddy Guy
Mike Gordon
Medeski Martin and Wood
Soulive
Umphrey's McGee
Dumpstaphunk
Les Claypool's Fancy Band (Skriek and Mike Dillon, sick stuff)
Blues Traveler
Col Bruce Hampton
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
plus absolutely sick peformances by Beck and notably Radiohead (Thom Yorke has said multiple times that this was their greatest show ever)
Bonnaroo 06 was one of the best festivals ever

I'm glad your had a good time and I did as well. But it didn't compare to the first couple IMO. The culture of roo was starting to shift

Nothing will ever touch that first roo. So much magic in the air. I know that sounds hippy dippy but it was magical outside of sitting in tragic for 9 hours haha
