Best Seats at the Orpheum NOLA

I'm about to buy tickets to a concert but I've never been and wanted to see what the best seats were if anyone has an opinion. Usually paying more doesn't mean a better experience.

I've only been there once. I was on the floor and thought the sound was good. I had friends in one of the balconies for the same show that said the sound was off though, so there is probably some sweet spots at that venue.

Ive sat in the 1st row of the balcony and it was ok, there isnt a lot of room between rows so everyones knees are in your back.

Saw Amos Lee there recently. Sat in second row, center balcony. Sound and visibility good, legroom not so much. Similar to economy airline seats.

The floor is great. It’s an incline from the stage to the back, you can see from anywhere.

The balconies are narrow rows and steep. I’m still amazed some drunk hasn’t taken a terrible spill up there.

IMHO....the Orpheum has some of the worst sound of any venue in NOLA. The entire balcony is terrible—sound bouncing all over.
The floor is your best bet.
And the Joy has the best in the state—any seat high or low is spot on.

I agree. Saw G’ovt Mule there couple weeks ago, seats are tight, rows very narrow, steps in isles steep as hell!
