This album is one of the most quintessentially 80s albums ever released. It has everything: Multiple synthesizers, drum machines, skinny ties, parachute pants.

Terri Nunn is an amazing vocalist. Her voice fit the music perfectly. Berlin is most known for "Take My Breath Away" from the Top Gun soundtrack, but that is so unlike most of their work up to that point.

Also, if you are so inclined, you can use google to find a couple photos of Terri Nunn's vajay from a 1970s Penthouse shoot.

Still one of my favorite albums thirty years later. It was cutting edge as far as technology, sexy, and well...pleasurable, and the album has a nice flow to it.

The title track Pleasure Victim was the first song that I learned in its entirety on my first pro synth (a Juno 106 I believe).

I also was at the House of Blues in Las Vegas the night they played there. The Tubes opened for them and put on a kick arse show (see them if you ever get the chance) and then Berlin came on second. I had lost track of time and wasn't wearing a watch (the days before cell phones) so I was keeping an eye on this guy's watch next to me because I had a plane to catch. Noticing the time on his watch, I had to leave before Berlin came on, but the sad thing is, after I left the venue, I realized that I still had two hours. The guy was obviously visiting from the Eastern time zone and didn't set his watch. It turns out I left the show for no reason and never did see Berlin.

What's more is that I had a crush on Terri Nunn.

She still looks good. We had some free tickets to see Berlin open for INXS a few months ago.

They're still around? I thought erotic asphyxiation did them in years ago.

I suppose if Journey can tour without Steve Perry, and the Cars without Ocasek, and the Mentors without El Duce, INXS can too.

Yep, they actually had a tv show a while back to find a new lead singer. They found one who sounded just like the original, but then he went into rehab. He came back and that's who was touring with them when I saw them. He sounds good but it just isn't the same. It's almost like the greatest INXS cover band around, considering it's all the original members with a new singer.

Hopefully they won't find the new guy hanging from the ceiling with a lemon in his mouth.

He's already gone again, not dead and has been replaced

The Tubes

One of the great names of 80s music. Frontman was "Fee Waybill".

The video for "She's a Beauty" is ingrained into my mind. I always wanted to find the "dominatrix" tent at the state fair after that...

Had a couple of their cassettes ( ). Good stuff.

FIFY...they're still touring and as entertaining as ever. Mostly on the West coast though.
