Beirut is a great band. Saw them at Stubb's BBQ in Austin and was thoroughly impressed. Not a band for everyone but a unique sound you don't hear everyday in indie rock.

Most of beirut's work is essentially mariachi band meets Eastern European folk music. I'm a huge fan, but i think it's very interesting to connect it through your love of jazz.

One of my favorite bands. I've seen them 3 times (also saw him at Stubbs last year) and every time they have blown me away. Zach is a really good song writer. I envy his capabilities as a horn player.
I still think Gulag is his best work, but his other two albums and EP's are excellent.

One of the best bands of the last 10 years. I have every record and have seen them live several times. No record a let down and an amazing live performance. Amazing the depth Zach Condon has for such a young dude.

Incredible for a dude who dropped out of high school too. Speaks damn near perfect French as well. Would love to have a beer with that guy
