Agreed. I and Love and You was good. The Carpenter is a great album. Their stuff since then has been meh to me.

Arguably my favorite band of the past 10 years.
But that was bad. Yikes. Hopefully that's their one political song and the rest of the album will jump back to normal.
Although I do agree that the violence in movies and TV does have an impact and cause people to become numb to violence and has influences some people to action.

Their last album was really good. HBO has a documentary on the making of it call May It Last: A Portrait of the Avett Brothers Its an awesome documentary and made me like the album even more knowing what went into it.

That's not typical Avett Bros but still a good song.
