On now...
Neal Cassal...Circles Around the Sun--"Interludes For The Dead"... (2) 180g LPs, Rhino Records, 2015
This one is all instrumental. This awesome collection of groove/jam was first revealed when it was used as the set break music for the "Fare Thee Well--50 Years of the Grateful Dead" shows in Chicago in July of 2015. It was released on Record Store Day (Black Friday).

Does anyone have experience with older McIntosh equipment?
I'm looking at an older solid state Mac preamp--c26.
Anything I should be concerned about or look for in these older pieces?

Brother Dege "Folk Songs of the American Longhair"
His song "Too Old To Die Young" was featured on the Django Unchained soundtrack. Great album and great dude, met him after one of his shows. He blends elements of folk, Delta blues, rock, even metal, into his own unique sound. And plays a killer bottleneck slide style on the dobro.

I have a C26. I used it about 10-15 years ago with a pair of MC2105 amps I aquired back in the mid 1990's (stereo amps--2x105W).
It is a great pre if you want to go vintage. There are many modern day pre amps that are better for around $500 though. If you want vintage, however, it is a good piece. The amp that was commonly mated to it was the MC2105. That amp was current for a long time.
Here is some info on it--a good read. C26/27
As with all old gear--I would have all the pots professionally cleaned and all the capacitors replaced.

Here is a picture one of my MC2105's--notice the wooden "speaker block" adapter I had to buy...most modern day speaker end spades are too large for vintage gear and will not fit into the small slots. To make a solid connection to an older amp using newer spades, some sort of adapter will be needed. Mine is made by Cardas Cables.
Sorry the pics are a little blurry--doing it on the fly...
I will try to get a pic of the c26 in a little while--it is upstairs and buried.
Those 2 pieces do make a nice pair however! An MC2105 in great shape will run you about $1000-$1400...I'd say that original 1968 amp ($750) held its value fairly well after 45 years!!
Mine has had new caps and a new glass faceplate a couple years ago (I cracked it)--but it is amazing that you can still buy a new faceplate for a 45 year old amp from the original manufacturer in Binghamton, NY!!

That's a popular Miles record that I never owned. I may order it on my next ElusiveDisc order. I've been on a Blue Note and early jazz kick the past month or so. I saw some other really nice Blue Note reissues while surfing MusicDirect a couple nights ago.
Problem is, I surf the vinyl vaults and then I add them all to my "wish list", and then before I know it there are over 100 LPs in there!
I am currently debating on the Queen Box set...I like Queen, but I just don't think I will play all 18 LPs, or for that matter, even 8 of them more than once...but it does look like a pretty neat box set though!

This is my setup minus my receiver (Onkyo w/phono input) and speakers (Bose 301's). The turntable is a vintage Bang Olufsen Beogram. My shelf system is from Ikea, and works perfectly for holding my record collection. Took the pic right after I built the shelf and put my records in it hence the reason the receiver and speakers weren't on it yet.
Been listening to Sturgill Simpson and Leon Bridges a lot lately.

Welcome to the thread! That is a nice set up you have--you also have a good bit of music there!
I have an old Beogram 1700 table, so I am familiar with what you are using. I haven't used it in years as it is missing the dust cover and it has proven near impossible to find a replacement one, but it works nonetheless.
Just a heads up--over time, the platter may sag to one side--one of the 3 "lever springs" that support the platter may start to droop--it was a common problem with most B&O tables in the 1### series (I don't know which one you have). The fix is easy though, if you ever encounter it--just take them off and carefully bend them back the opposite way!
Hopefully you haven't encountered this issue, but if you do, well, now you know the fix and that you aren't alone!
Also, SoundSmith makes exact replacement cartridges for B&O--look HERE.
B&O used to have the MMC1,2,3,4, and 5,--back in the '70 & '80's, they were $500-$100 respectively. I believe SoundSmith makes 9 new models now for all B&O tables, from $200-$2700.
Enjoy man--Bang & Olufsen are some of my favorite vintage tables ever! They just had such a "Euro cool" look to them.

That looks like my ikea shelf! They are great for LP storage and stuff. Mine is upright and it works perfect for my room.

Finally got my table
The speakers leave quite a bit to be desired but for the price of free you can't beat it.
Overall I love it. My Dad gave me my first album for Christmas after I told him I was going to get into it. It's a Stones record which I'm pretty sure is a greatest hits record from like the 80s.
