Hey now—you gotta show the Tex-mex feast inside the gatefold!

Fun fact I learned in the listening notes, no one got to enjoy the feast, because in between shoots the photographers German shepherd ravaged it.

So I changed out my rig rack and the rug underneath, nothing else. Now my vocals are way left and I can’t get em centered again. In my experience this usually meant pulling the right speaker more into the room, but it’s not doing the trick. Any ideas? I can’t enjoy shite right now.

Rack & rug shouldn't make anywhere near that big a difference if I'm understanding correctly. Just to confirm the obvious - is your right speaker actually playing? You've tried multiple records, etc?

If that checks out ok, are the "way left" vocals centered on the left speaker or at least somewhere toward the middle? Post a photo of the speaker position/orientation if you can.

Just swapped out speaker cables and same problem vocals way left. This new rug doesn’t come out as much into the room maybe it’s the vibrations off these wooden floors but something is wrong here. In the past small adjustments to the speakers would lock the center image in. I don’t know what’s happening now…

So apparently when father in law came over a few days ago to do some electrical work, the power cord on my pre amp got switched out for another one. Not sure why but when I switched back to the original power cord everything fell back into place. Seems crazy to me but I’m glad it’s fixed bc I was pulling out hair earlier.

Excellent. I was gonna say that doesn’t sound like something that would happen from just replacing a rug.

Another recommendation for the Prog Rockers in the thread. A new band out of Charlotte, Nospun, and their first release Opus. If you're a fan of Dream Theater or Haken it's worth a listen. The bass player is a sound engineer and the album sounds fantastic. Hard to believe it's their first release. Definitely a top album of 2023 for me.

Last year I got an AT-LP60X for Xmas to run to my Sonos 5s in my office. I had to turn the line in a volume up pretty high and the sound was ok. I used it more than I thought I would. Spent some Xmas money and got this RT85N setup this AM. I have it running through a Mani 2. I was able to lower the line in on the Sonos from 10 to 2. The sound is much better.
