I was about to start trashing arcade fire, but decided against it.

I want to try and usher in a new era on the MB which lacks the overall hostility which seems to have festered since the end of jazz fest.

I'm not sure it's close. Every album outside of maybe Neon Bible is a classic and will be referred to on all top albums of the 2000/10's list for the rest of time. You could argue Funeral is the best album made in 10-15 years.

They have their own completely unique sound. They put on one of the best live shows in the world. And they write creative and emotionally moving music that is complex but still catchy as hell.

I'm not a fan of Arcade Fire at all.

I would think John Mayer, Linkin Park, Justin Timberlake, and Avenged Sevenfold will have a longer lasting influence from the 2000's.

Maybe Timberlake. Mayer is pretty much a joke, Likin Park is a joke, and I have never heard of the last one.

I don't think Timberlake is very influential but he's probably the biggest player in the entertainment industry for the 2000/2010s for as far as doing both movies and music. Not saying I bump JT but you have to admire his stance in the industry
