I know a guy looking to sell his, but I wanted to see if anyone had experience with them before moving forward with a purchase. It's one that was made in Mexico. The online reviews seem decent. Thanks!

Is it a ‘50s ‘60s or ‘70s and what color.
Just wondering

Awesome
I have a ‘74 blonde (nicely faded now) that I bought brand new.
I’m an acoustic guy but I play it every once in a while

I had this Vintera Mustang cross the shop bench a few weeks ago that was absolutely smoking good. Upgraded it with a set of Lindy Fralin vintage blues winds for 'stangs, and hubba hubba. I had a totally stock 1975 Mustang come through recently too and quite honestly, the new Vintera was simply a better playing and sounding guitar. I'd be quite confident the Vintera you're looking at will hit the mark.

Do you play? Do you think it's good? The Mexican ones are fine players generally.

I play and assume it will be fine. The guy selling it lives an hour away, so I was looking to save myself a drive if anyone had anything extremely negative to say about them.

I've heard nothing bad. I own a MIM telecaster but not the Vintera model. I love my mim. It's an excellent guitar and my guitar tech says mim's are generally great.

Check tdpri.com, the internet's home for telecasters. They love vinteras over there. I have a classic 50s tele, which is basically the obsolete version of the vintera, and it's great.
The higher-end Mexican guitars are the sweet spot for value in the Fender line imo. And if you're buying used I can almost guarantee it's a good value.
