Not me, but I have a friend who lives in L.A. I’m sure she’s seen Phish a hundred times if she’s seen them once.

She went to 6 shows: April 16,17,18, 23, 24, 25.

Phish ain’t my thing, but good for you if it is, not a hater.

Let me just throw out Def Leppard, who I recently saw in Las Vegas. I love them. I would see them twice in a weekend, but man…six times would be a bit much for me.

Def Leppard plays the same show every time there would be no reason to see them more than once in a run. Phish plays a different show every time

I’ve seen Billy Strings a dozen times so far this year and each show has been utterly unique. If he was playing tonight I’d be there

What an incredible weekend!

And for all you novices out there- they didn’t repeat a single song over the 9 shows at Sphere. The visuals this year were light years better than 2024.

Last night I watched an interview with Trey on CBS about the previous stint at Sphere. He mentioned something about hypersonic sound systems where they can target directly at a seat and if you are sitting in a chair next to it, they can make you hear a completely different song. They didn't really get into the details but that was an interesting comment. Can anyone fill me in on what exactly this is or how it works, or if that's even true?

ETA- he said as part of rehearsals they would intentionally frick up songs to see how the tech crew improvised with them. Very smart.

the sound in the Sphere is unlike anything you ever heard. It's like a noise cancelling headphone except without the headphones. You can literally pick off individual sounds from the different instruments and when you enter the lobby the sound from the arena simply disappears.

You gotta go at least once. (I went once...went back 4 more times)

this may help:

Excellent video. That is insane. I had heard all the jazz about the visual experience but just assumed it was a traditional PA system like any other large venue.
