The step daughter loves this band so here we are. Hoping it’s a good show. Wish it wasn’t in such a sketch part of town though.

It's not a bad club for rock bands.

While certainly not a stadium, the place was sold out last night. I’m guessing 1200 people because that’s capacity for the venue.

UFO had to cancel because of the flu, so BOC ended up playing 2 sets. There was no barricade in the venue so I got to stand right next to the stage while Buck played a foot in front of me. The man’s fingers are so damn fluid while playing that it’s sickening. He’s without a doubt one of the most underrated guitar players in history... I did find it amusing how stingy they were with guitar picks. Typically guys toss those things in the crowd like they’re candy, but Buck used 1 pick for each set and the encore and then tossed it at the conclusion of each. Eric just put his back in his pocket.

Funny enough, there was no cowbell. When they played Don't Fear the Reaper, Eric acted as if he had a cowbell in his hand and played a little air cowbell to start the song.

Man Little Five Points is sweet!! You should give it a chance some Saturday or Sunday. Definitely some cool bars and restaurants there. Start at the bar at Elmir. Incredible Margaritas.

LOVE BOC!! Seen them many times and quite jealous. Would love to have seen them in that venue.

Pretty ignorant. They’ve been playing smaller venues for decades now. Hell, I saw them at the Texas Club in 1988, just seven years after they headlined the Centroplex.

They only had a very brief period of large scale success but that’s okay. Their music is deep and timeless. As fans, we much prefer they continue playing smaller venues for decades as opposed to having retired 20+ years ago.

Yep. He did the same thing last time I saw them, which was two years ago at a small community theater in Mount Dora. Tiny town just north of Orlando.

Eric’s voice is pretty much shot unfortunately but everything else was fantastic. Man, Buck Dharma still absolutely shreds.

It was a great experience. Like I said about the guitar picks earlier, I was fortunate enough to get the first one and promptly gave it to my kid. I also helped an older fan get the third one. I put my foot on top of it and then told him to pick it up when I moved my foot. That guy was so damn happy... Buck’s close friend was also beside me the entire show taking pics. I can’t thank him enough for getting me copies of both set lists. I’m not a big memorabilia guy. To me it’s just stuff, but it means the world to my 14 year old.

I’ll post some pics in a bit.

Yeah that all sounds awesome. I like getting setlists as well whenever I can. I’m very impressed that your step daughter is such a huge BOC fan at the age of 14. That has got to be a rarity.

Great pics. Thanks for posting. Looking very much the same as they did two years ago.

Sidenote too regarding BOC in Atlanta. One of the greatest live albums you’ll find is Some Enchanted Evening. It was recorded in Atlanta at The Fox Theatre in the late 70’s and it JAMS!! Good one to purchase if you’re interested.

Some Enchanted Evening — So freaking good

Yep, I know all about it. My 14 year old owns the vinyl. It’s a great album for sure. Love the artwork as well. Wish I could find a quality print of it, but I’ve had no luck finding it.
