Bleed—The Negro Problem
I found this little gem watching Weeds (which has a great soundtrack every season—not sure if they’re all put together anywhere). It was featured briefly in an episode—it may have just been the chorus—but I couldn’t get it out of my head. After a day or 2 of it being stuck in my head, I did a little research and realized the band is headed by this guy Stew and is sometimes referred to as “Stew and The Negro Problem.”
Well, I’ve seen Stew open for Counting Crows 3 or 4 times at least (opened for them back to back nights at The House of Blues in New Orleans August of ‘01), so I’ve probably heard “Bleed” live as many times. Not sure if it stuck because the chorus is that pretty or because I subconsciously recognized it. Probably both.
Anyway, really cool, unique, interesting band that I’d totally forgotten about, but am trying to catch up on some of their stuff. Any fans that could recommend any of their albums I should pick up?

Thought I was on The OT when I read the title, thought it was about to be an entertaining thread while it lasted
