Anybody been to a Buddy Guy concert?

He has a show this Saturday at L'auberge. Show starts at 8. I may be there 845/9ish(work) if I decide to go. How long does his show usually go for? I don't want to spend the money and only hear 15 minutes of play.

Saw him there a little over a year ago. Played for about 75-90 min. Great show. See him if you never have. He's still incredible live.
But if you can't get there until that late, it's probably not worth it. Maybe see if you. Can leave earlier.

I appreciate the help, sir. Made my planning much easier.

His gigs rarely extend over 90 mins. Might need to pass it up if you cannot get there earlier.

If he has an opener, you won't miss any Buddy.
I've been to two shows in New York, and they've been incredible. The best way I can describe it is that it is a giant orgasm of electric Chicago blues in your ears that lasts about 90 minutes.

saw him at City Stages back in about 91 or so. dude climbed up a fire escape. plugged in (he had a really long arse cord).
that escape started to come off the building- like literally moved and began to come out of it. Buddy kept playing his licks through the whole affair- It was pretty amazing- one of the most memorable concerts I ever saw. I have a recording of that somewhere, bc I taped it.

I have seen him at his place in Chicago a few times back in the 90s.
Then on July 4th he was playing at the Foo Fighter concert in Washington, DC. He had to follow LL Cool J who had the younger crowd rock.
I was worried, but he comes out on stage and says something along the lines, this is where f@cking rap comes from and then just rocks the place for 75 minutes

I'm not 100% sure. I got there right as he was starting.

At a casino gig, its unlikely there is an opener.
