Last I heard it was pushed back to November but I can't find any new info on it.

It's supposed to be early next year, but no solid date yet.

Let me know when he gets back on the junk and I'll be excited for a new album.

Are you a fan of his early stuff? I ask because I don't know anybody who was a fan of Beck in the 90's that thinks he is doing anything exciting now. He's like Bob Dylan in 1979......boring.

Beck has always made some pretty big changes between albums. Just because you didn't like Morning Phase doesn't mean the rest of his stuff will be boring. His first album was all over the place:

Mellowgold - Rock/Rap/Folk/Psyche
Odelday was more rock / pop
Midnite Vultures was pure funk.
Sea Change was a mellow break-up album.
Guero was some crazy mexi-rock / pop.
The Information was more elctronic rock.
Modern Guilt was blend of rock and electronic
Morning Phase was a return to the Sea Change style.

I don't like all of his albums, but lots of people found Morning Phase to be amazing. And it is, for that style of music. It's looking like the new album will be much different from the singles we've heard.

New album is supposed to be way different than his recent mellow stuff. I'm hoping it's got the same feel/tempo as Midnight Vultures.
