I feel like he's pretty underrated in the grand scheme of things, had a lot of great songs.

Obviously dont know him personally but he seems like a regular, down to earth guy too.

John Conlee was a licensed mortician before a country singer. Talk about a 180 in careers.

Love all the songs listed so far.I've never changed the channel when a John Conlee song has come on.Truly one of the most underrated country singers of all time.

Surprised "Miss Emily's Picture" hasn't been mentioned.
Also, I really like his cover of Ralph Stanleys "Could You Love Me One More Time". It's a hidden track on his Classics album after Miss Emily's Picture. His voice is perfect for it and he should have released it as a single. YT
