I have a Peavy Vypr that has a USB that I can run strait into my laptop and DAW. I also have Fender solid state and want to be able to direct record like this with micibg. Will this work- run my output/headphones jack into my Focusrite the into the laptop?

I appreciate your responses

Not sure, but you could do it with a simple DI box. Why do you want to direct record guitar? Most people say they do not like the results and prefer just micing the amp.

I imagine this will end up with a really shitty recording with a shite ton of line noise. You'd be better getting a DI box and using something like POD Farm to refine your sound.

Line 6 POD Studio UX2

Something like that is what you need.

Do this and have the DI being recorded at the same time. That way you can use the amp recording and reamp the DI if you didnt like the amp sound.

Or mix them.
