It was ok. Amon Amarth really upped their production and are clearly trying to take the next step to be a festival/small arena headliner. I don't think its gonna happen though. Also I'm getting tired of headliners playing such short sets. They only played for an hour and 15 minutes.
At the Gates was pretty cool. I really wanted to see them too.

I dunno, it was a pretty long night with 4 bands playing. Arch Enemy played, what, 45 minutes to an hour beforehand? The Fillmore might also have given them a firm 11:00 exit time.
Anyway, I thought it was a wonderfully fun night of Swedish metal thunder. And Alissa in those tights....mercy.....

I saw Amon Amarth open for Slayer earlier this year & they were great but I am so interested in Arch Enemy. How were they live?

Arch Enemy was great. Alissa is very energetic and engaging. Michael Amott has always been a solid guitarist, and Jeff Loomis is incredible.

I saw At the Gates on the Slaughter of the Soul tour and they destroyed the place. Incredible band, wish I had known they were playing.
