I was watching some clips form the film earlier. It really seems like a lot people weren't really enjoying the show, certainly by the time The Stones were playing. Maybe it was OK until the Jefferson Airplane incident but it was such a mess from the beginning.

That is a great book.
Read Sam Cutler's book. He was road manager for the 69 tour and about half the book discusses the tour and everything leading up to Altamonte. Afterwards, he managed the Grateful Dead.
