Alan Jackson - the Bluegrass Album

I sat in on the Letterman audience yesterday, and Alan Jackson was the musical guest. I'm not a particular fan of Jackson's regular stuff, but I always look forward to seeing a pro like Jackson perform. He performed with eight other musicians (mandolin, fiddle, dobro, upright bass, banjo, guitar, two backing vocalists, and Jackson himself on guitar), and it was solid. I'll definitely get this album--it's some of the best bluegrass I've ever heard.

Fantastic album, and I really have not been a big fan of most of his later stuff.

I really like it so far. It's very well produced and not something just put together for shits and giggles to make a quick buck IMO

I've never listened to anything by Alan Jackson but I saw him on Letterman and you're right, it was excellent.

I was listening and really enjoying this album. And then I got suckered in by "Blue Ridge Mountain Song". Dammit ! 
Still a good album though, best stuff he's done since his early days.
