What a time, late 80's. X was just becoming a thing. I have no idea sometimes the clubs I went to.

Good shite there. There’s videos on YT and around of 80s techno (for lack of a better term) clubs that are pretty cool to watch.

Was cleaning through some my old shite today and I came across my old boombox. Been bumping nothing but Debbie Deb, Freestyle, Newcleus, Egyptian Lover, etc. all day today. Today’s music doesn’t have shite on what we used to have in the 80’s...

I'm a huge Freestyle Music Fan. Stevie B is my favorite artist ever.

"Let the Music Play" by Shannon(credited as the first Freestyle song) has been my ringtone for a decade.

Glad to meet folks who appreciate the genre like I do.

Reminds me of the strutters marching in the Chalmette parades.

I was listing to 107.3 this morning and they had some freestyle playing in the background, and was thinking it’ll be cool to get on a skating rink again with some of this music.

Does Louisiana claim the Egyptian Lover as it’s own? I mean, he is a Broussard.

Thank you for the playlist imma be playing for the next 10 years lol.

If anyone had some subs, with the treble all the way up and a old school punch 500 back in the day. It was the law that you had to play “Funky little Beat by Connie”.

That song used to hit HARD.

Say what you want break dancing took a ton of skill and the good ones were mesmerizing to watch

If you could find a DJ with the music and busted out some of these moves in a club today the drinks and women would be free all night.
