ZDT and The Kingdom are two that I stop and watch every time I see a replay.

Could they have found anyone other than Stephen Dillane to play the top level CIA guy Mark Strong petitions for permission to hit bin Laden’s compound? Mark Strong himself does a better American accent than Dillane. Dillane could pull off Thomas Jefferson in John Adams because it is somewhat reasonable to assume that 18th century Americans sounded more British than 21st century Americans.

Sorry, just a pet peeve for actors who can’t do convincing accents.

the CIA guy using the muslim prayer rug supposed to be based on John Brennan?

I used to think so, but he's actually not, at least from a few articles I've read.

The Wolf is supposed to be an un-identified counterterrorism chief. Apparently he's a real guy who was/is actually a Muslim convert who a lot of CIA people apparently didn't really get along with.

John Brennan is actually supposed to be the Stephen Dillan Character. He's supposed to be an Obama National Security/counterterrorism advisor I believe, and Brennan was that during that time, as well as Homeland Security director.

Gandolfini was obviously Panetta.

The Mark Strong character is the one that really intrigues me. Everyone in the movie is supposed to be based on real people. I'd assume he's probably the guy over the station chiefs and probably a very high level counterterrorism director, but, the real question is why did he have on a an SFOD-D (Delta Force) insignia on his jacket in the Area 51 scene?

It's hard to pick up, but that's not something that the filmmakers would just do out of nowhere. That unit patch is only worn by Delta operators I believe. He obviously wasn't still active duty, but how many guys that kcik in doors become high level analyst types in CIA?

I guess we'll never know but there are just a lot of small details that leave you wondering. Just like the CIA operators who track the courier.

They are both foreign sounding, but are they really? And the one Arabic guy goes with DEVGRU on the raid. Was he himself a former SEAL?

They wouldn't let just any run of the mill former soldier go on a raid that important.

Those little unanswered and unaddressed details always keep the movie still a bit of a mystery, in a good way.

Tinker, Tailor.... there’s a 6 part miniseries starring Alec Guinness that is much better. I don’t understand why producers try to cram a novel like that into a 2 hour movie.

I assumed he was SOG or an Agency contractor of some sort.
