Going to watch but man i liked it best when they were in a sandwich shop. Season 2 and later wasn't a good bit still had good episodes.

I agree. Finding the money at the end of season 1 should have been the cliffhanger. Season 2 should have been the transition. They were in such a hurry to get to the cool chef stuff, they forgot to tell a story to get there. All you have now is chef porn, and that only gets the degenerate Bourdain fans from 6 to midnight. Everyone else, just tunes out.

I just lost interest. It seemed liked it wasn't going anywhere after Season 2. Ambling wandering w/no direction.

Would people be upset if season 5 ends with Bear opening up a restaurant named Mikey's like he wanted to do in the s4 openee convo with his brother?

That doesn't seem to be the general concensus

I really liked when fans totally hated Carmie when he was all about the restaurant and not life, then totally hated him for being all in on life/love and not the restaurant.

I don't think that's much of it, TBH

Fans were probably frustrated with Carmie for the whole GF saga and being such a loser about it, and then frustrated with Carmie when he resumed the GF saga and was such a loser about it.

But the common denominator is 20 minutes per episode of Carmie smoking and brooding. I've never heard any fans of the show go "whoa there was too much kitchen action and Michelin talk in that one"
