So, I've recently gotten back into reading comics, I was recommended the Uncanny X-Force: Apocalypse Solution (which was great) I stopped in the local comic store today and there's so many X-Men storylinesr. I got Uncanny X-men: revolution and after reading it, it would seem that I have no clue as to wtf has happened in the last 10 years. Where should I start?

shite, I just look through comixology and find stuff that interests me and go from there.

If there is a character I like, I'll search for them and then read stuff with them in it.

If you like X-23, I suggest checking out X-23: Innocence Lost and X-23: Target X.

If you liked Uncanny X-Force, check out this X-Force run:

X-Force: Angels and Demons

The new Punisher has been really good, as has the new Black Widow.

If you want something really good and funny, check out Deadpool: The Gauntlet.

All-New X-Men is supposed to be really good and involves the original X-Men team being transported to this timeline.

I could give you some just starting comic runs that aren't Marvel related that I've enjoyed too, along with other series that aren't Marvel or DC.

I quit comics around 1995 and every now and then I'll browse them and I'm completely lost. I was big into xmen too. Its all so complicated.

There has been civil wars and all kinds of other shite that has gone down.

I can't keep up with the connections. I just find things that sound interesting and read them.

The X-Books are good reads, but there are tons of them. Like Skruff said, look around and see which peaks your interests.

I'll check out that website. Thanks!

But yeah, some serious shite has gone down in the Xmen universe, so far I like it, things definitely got shook up. I was just trying to figure out where all this started, and with so many Xmen comics it's a daunting task.

Comixology is a great app if you have an iPad or other thing that is like an iPad but not.

Its a dangerous app to have though. I end up getting bored and spending $10 without thinking about it. The money kinda adds up after a while.

I got a 1 year subscription to the Marvel Unlimited app for $60. Totally worth it. That's probably a better value than comixology.

Probably, but I read side producers more than I read either Marvel or DC.

Boom!
Wildstorm
Avatar
Dynamite
Top Cow

They all produce damn good comics nowadays. Great original stories.

I would've killed for that app as a kid. It was so hard figuring out which comics to buy when you only had about $8 to spend. I liked reading them and wasnt as interested in amassing a huge collection. But There is something special about cracking open some random forgotten Thor or Xmen from 1982 and smelling the yellowing paper and seeing the old ads.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to have to be more selective than I was when I was a kid, this could get dangerous or already has. Having free 2 day shipping with amazon prime is not helping matters.

Guess I'll just pick a few and see what happens.

Have you seen the new animated movie featuring the two of them? Awesome.

It actually was pretty good, unlike most of Marvel's animated movies.

I stopped buying regularly around the mid-90's. The X-books were a big reason as there got to be just so damned many of them and it seemed that the stories just lost their quality (due to so many is my guess). Then I checked in on them a couple of years ago and Beast looked like a cat.

I'm done with the X-Books. If I ever win a massive Powerball or Mega-Millions I plan on paying Chris Claremont and John Byrne an insane amount of money to produce new Uncanny XMen comics starring the 1980's team just for me.

That was pretty much the same exact reason I quit reading them, there was so many in the 90's, after reading a few of the new ones I was hoping maybe they went back to the less is more philosophy.

I love reading 1980s Xmen. I like the Jim Lee art from the 90s though. But I never got into Xforce and all the sudden there were a half dozen mutant comics with a hundred characters I don't care about.
