The scariest show during my childhood. Robert Stack in a trenchcoach at the scene of the crime/cemetery.

The episode with the aliens freaked me out. I still remember it well. The two brothers named Wiener.

That show would scare the hell out of me when I was a kid. That opening intro still gives me the creeps. It made me believe there was a high probability in life that I'd either get kidnapped, be abducted by aliens, or get chased out of my house by a ghost. I just assumed there were sinister forces all over the place.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would get excited when they would tag on an "Update" at the end of a segment.

The original show was hosted by Raymond Burr. Then Karl Malden. Stack showed up around the fourth or fifth show.

I haven't seen the original specials since they aired in Prime Time. I'd love to see them again. They really did have a big impact on the viewer.

I watch an episode almost every morning on lifetime. It's not Robert Stack tho. It's Dennis Ferina. Saw Matthew Mcconaughey on one episode. He was playin some ladies son who got shot out in front of the house.

The one I remember the most was about a family that bought a haunted bunk bed and moved into a new house. They had people running out of the house scared shite less. They eventually had to have the bunk bed destroyed. True story.

Had this on the dvr lineup. After about 2 weeks, you have seen all the episodes.

They still make me get up and make sure my house is locked up.

Yep. It'd always come on after some light syndicated fare and I'd ALWAYS forget to turn the channel. That opening theme would come on and by then I's be too petrified to move to change it. So I'd have to suffering through the whole show.

Those Unibomber and Queen Anne/ghost episodes.

I would not watch it then without all the lights on. I definitely would not watch it now.

We once stayed in a hotel in Panama City when I was a kid. About four months later around Halloween I was watching and the same hotel was featured. A girl was abducted and never found. Freaked us out!

This show and Sightings were the lethal 1, 2 punch to your ability to sleep in the 90s.
