I hate modern news but I also have this irrational fear of walking into a conversation about an important current event and I look like the village idiot who has no clue what they're talking about. Like I'm going to walk up to the water cooler one day and have co-workers say "have you been living under a rock? Didn't you know Russia invaded Syria last night" and I will be derp, I had no idea I was streaming Alien v. Predator.
Odds are, you will get a push notification if actual WAR breaks out.

Most certainly, someone you know will text it to you with a link; we all have "that person" in our circles. My sister is currently a stay-at-home mom with 3 kids, she sends group messages updating us with anything relevant. Covid, Joe Burrow's outfit, political scandals etc.

I never watch anything on YTTV. No reason to pay 70 bucks for it. I can get fox nation for 5 bucks and find some other cheap way to watch sports, but I don’t watch that anymore really either

I often wondered how people allow politics (either way) to completely consume their lives, I guess waking up at 5:30 AM to hear the latest political doomsday scenarios available every morning is a good start.

i consider myself exceptionally politically informed (albeit i admit to being on the right, but i do read reddit, tigerdroppings, texags, cnn, twitter, etc. to get the complete lay of the land,) but do my very best to not watch it on TV or subject my family to it under any circumstances. i know better than to exclusively get my news from Sean Hannity or Don Lemon. it's honestly why i enjoy Joe Rogan as much as i do because i know i may be getting somebody from the left or right every other time.

i try to live my life in such a way that neither Donald Trump (republicans) or Joe Biden's (democrats) idiocy have any bearing on my happiness on any given day. i want to be informed, but i also don't want to live in an echo chamber.

I like watching tucker, Jessie, gutfeld, and the 5. Don’t watch them all every day, but I can do that on fox nation because I usually watch them the next day. 5 bucks is better than 70. I will have to find something to watch the occasional sports game, which shouldn’t be too hard.

I like to keep an eye on this globalist Marxist takeover of this country. The same crap that happened in the early 20th century Europe is happening again, in almost all western countries….by the same group of people. The globalists are making their move. They call it the great reset, but it’s really agenda 21 (the agenda for the 21st century). If it isn’t stopped, life will be a socialist hellscape for your kids and their grandkids. Just watch videos of members of the WEF, UN, or Davos. There are documents online that outline every detail of their plan. It’s scary. They tell you exactly what they have planned and they are already doing it. They are using Covid and fraudulent climate change to usher it in. How else can you corral the world? These two issues effect the world globally. What other options are there? Alien invasion?

People are starting to pick up on it. Books have already been written about it warning people.

American Marxism
The Great Reset

I used to be willfully ignorant about politics like you, but things are different now. Before, you didn’t have an entire group of people in the US trying to tear it down. Before, people just had different ideas about how to make the country better. That’s not the case anymore. People can’t ignore this. The establishment has aligned with private business (fascism) through the use of esg scores. That’s why they all turned woke overnight. The central banks control the esg scores. If you don’t toe the line, they squeeze you out of business. It’s a social credit score for companies that was created by a Marxist think tank. It’s essentially blackmail. The government can’t violate the constitution usually (except the border for some reason), but they can get their private business partners to do it (I.e. free speech on online platforms). They are using private business to go around our protections in the constitution and they will keep pushing for more

You don’t actually use that as a source of information do you? Have you been living on a different planet or something?
