Those movies needed better writing, acting, everything. That's why Nolan/Batman is owning these days, as well as Favreau/Iron Man. Gotta put in quality in order to get quality.
Btw, I think a younger J. Hamm of Mad Men would've made a great Superman.
Finally, I'd rather see a remake/improvement of a bad movie as oppose to a remake of a good one. What's the point?

true, are being treated more as "films" now, (with tons of explosions, of course) and not just goofy live action cartoons.

he could do a good job with it. i loved his role in blade 3. im interested to see if sinestro is the main villain
