The new seasons are absolute dog shite. They are unwatchable. I have such fond memories growing up to the first couple seasons but I watched the latest ones on a flight recently and I couldn’t even finish it

There's a bunch of videos on youtube of the detachment of Stephen Hillenburg from the show causing changes in the show. Probably just a culmination of that over several seasons. It's a cash cow, they outgrow what they were, and serve a singular purpose...print fricking money.
