Alraune, with Brigitte Helm (the chick from Metropolis). It should about the 6th result if you google "Alraune Brigitte Helm"

The 20s were the golden age of the movie poster. Interesting graphics and very little text.

There is a site that has Polish posters for Hollywood movies. They are almost always more interesting visually than the originals. If you're interested I'll try to find the link.

The foreign posters always look badass cool, but I have no idea what is going on in that poster.

in the movie "The General' is a civil war era train

you do raise an interesting point though -- these foreign posters seem to succeed more as art than as advertising

They seem to maintain the art aspect of the movie poster, rather than what we have now. I like that.

I just wish that posters now-a-days had the same artistic appeal. Now it seems that it is the same generic setup with only slight differences for each movie.
