You may be right, but it was different than just funny gifs from the show. That's how I saw it...like it draws attention to something happening to that character. I just saw it as a "better safe than sorry" kinda thing. Maybe not though.

Watching The Wire is more than just watching a show. It's like a project you invest in. By the time you're done, you'll probably be able to name 50 characters off the top of your head and give a short bio on every one of them. The character development is second to none.

I was hooked after two episodes, I'd say. I then proceeded to watch all 5 seasons in like 10-15 days. That was nearly two years ago, probably gonna do it again soon.

Program that gives you a different IP address every time you log onto the internet. You can also pick what city you want your computer to show up from. I guess it protects you in case someone wants to try to track you down for pirating movies/music. ETA: I guess it has legitimate purposes as well, such as protecting your online identity, etc.

I'll probably catch hell for this on this board, but I've attempted a few times to watch this show based on the hype on this board. The first couple of times I fell asleep during the first episode (no, I wasn't watching in bed!) and the 3rd time I managed to get through about 3 episodes before getting bored and giving up.
I'm sure I'll give it another shot when I run out of series to watch again, and attempt to get through more than 3 episodes of the first season since that's not really a fair viewing, but damn it's been a tough go trying to watch this series for me.
