1984 had an awesome Top 10 "Summer movies", action/adventure, comedy, sports, sci-fi popcorn-fare.

1. Ghostbusters
2. Karate Kid
3. Sixteen Candles
4. Revenge of the Nerds
5. Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom
6. The Natural
7. Red Dawn
8. Gremlins
9. Star Trek III
10. Police Academy

1984 is the answer. You could add another 40 very good/excellent movies to this ten.

You mean the low budget fantasy movie with the guy who has a blade-launching triple sword doesn't hold up?

That's part of the original story. The story in Conan is actually one of Robert Howard's Kull stories. That character came before Conan and was the inspiration.

Thulsa Doom is a shape-shifting serpent man. Howard actually invented that concept, and now weirdos on the internet think it's true.
