I actually was expecting that when it happened. I had the whole praying mantis thing in my mind.
ETA: oh, and I hate to thread hijack, but, TigerMyth36, love your sig pic man. Still waiting to see if the live action movie gets made. Currently, it's still listed as "in production".

I understand some animals do that. Not sure any reptile species do it.
But I still felt it was supposed to be some big shock and I found it ridiculous.
Once thing for a zero intellect bug to do it. Another thing for spaceship owning intelligent creatures to do it.
Just felt like an overly forced shock which did not work.
Pretty much the whole episode was pretty weak.

i was wondering why she has to make an army if she has all those ships on the way. wouldnt that be her army?

I watched all of last season in one afternoon last week before the new one last night just to get caught up. Got to say, now I'm hooked. Hulu is fab!
